Though Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech was given almost fifty years ago, the words are still remembered by people everywhere.
Dr. King’s legacy is especially remembered during the month of February, Black History Month. The civil rights leader inspired many to follow his example and protest racial inequality in the U.S.
With a majority of the seats filled, CF hosted a presentation entitled “Civil Rights Trail and Multicultural Understanding” by Dr. Gwendolyn Zoharah Simmons, Senior Lecturer of African American Studies and Religion at the University of Florida, on Feb. 6 in the Klein Center.
